Trying this again!
So I've done this once before, but due to some personal and medical issues I had to stop writing to my penpals. Now, however, I'm back in good health and would like to try this again!

General:
I'm an omni-geek, I live with my husband of almost three years (but we've been together for 9 this November) and his family, it's kind of a screwed up living situation, but I will tell you about that in my letters. I have a connective tissue disorder called Marfan Syndrome, which affects pretty much everything about me, but I trek on, it's made my life more fulfilling than it would have been otherwise, I think. I love animals, my husband and I have a dog and we have rats who are the cutest things in the world (and they know it, too!) I no longer work, as my health had taken a turn for the worse at the end of last year, but I've been looking for work again and hope to find something that won't stress me into sickness. It's a slow, slow process with a lot of dead ends, but I'll find something eventually! I plan to go back to school to get a "big person" job and then use money from that job to put myself through med school to become either a orthopedist or a cardiologist, I haven't quite been able to make up my mind yet.
In my (lots and lots) of spare time, I can be found tearing through books or knitting and crocheting, I'm actually trying to make a business of my needle/hook crafts, and have had a small amount of success (and by small, I mean small. A few things for family and friends of family), but it looks promising. I have also been trying to get myself into a workout routine, as I need to lose a few inches around the middle, however I don't need to lose weight (sounds kind of like an oxymoron, doesn't it?)
I like to get to know people, and I like to be able to "be there" for people, I like to make connections with people through writing because face-to-face interactions are difficult for me unless my husband is with to push me into making friends.
Some of my letters will be written from a typewriter, as sometimes my hands and wrists just can't handle penning letters (I have a death grip on things), so I hope that won't bother anybody.
