Penpals~☆?
Hello!
My name is Nana, I'm 27 and I love penpals more than I love most things, so of course I'm looking for more, as always! I was born in Finland, but I'm not a "Finn". Explaining that is a bit of a long and rather boring story, so let's just say I'm a world citizen. English is my 3rd language, but the one I use the most nowadays. I've lived in London, England and Perth, Australia, apart from in this little town where I was born.
I used to study Japanese, East Asian Cultures & literature and sociolinguistics at university, but I had to drop out because of my illness getting worse. Hopefully I'll finish my degree soon. *fingers crossed*
I love literature (especially short stories/novellas and poetry) - but more than anything I love music, because it pushes the most amazing buttons in my brain. My favourite band is Perfume! Most films I watch are B-horror movies from the 80s. My favourite films are The Wicker Man (with Christopher Lee, of course + all Dracula Hammer Horror films he starred in) and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Plus stuff by George Romero, Dario Argento, Sam Raimi, and guys like that.
I'm also obsessed with knowing things, learning things about peoples, cultures, science, medicine, and so forth. I speak quite a few languages and I've always got plans in my head about which one I would like to learn next. Still, right now I'm focusing on Japanese and at least mastering basic Hangul (Korean alphabet).
The most embarrassing fact about me is that I am a computar gaem nerd, I play WoW, even. I was brought up on the Nintendo NES system and yeah... I love all that ^-^
