Name: Ilse
Age: 22
Birthday: May 26th 1987
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual, but really, does it matter?
Sign: Gemini
Location: Oostende, Belgium
Occupation: Teacher
Languages Spoken: Dutch, English and a little bit French
Looking for: longterm snail mail pals

About Me: After being a student at the faculty of theology & religious studies in Leuven for five years, I returned to live fulltime back in Oostende. At the moment I live with my mom, but in a few weeks I'll live by myself. I found myself a job as a teacher religion, but that's just my profession, I don't often discuss this topic with friends. I'm not sure how long I'll keep doing this job. It's not always easy to find something you're both good at and enjoy so I'm still trying to figure out where my 'path' in life leads me.

Hobbies/Interests/Loves: Kurt Halsey's art, post secret, listening to music, movies, penpalling, shopping, traveling, hot chocolate, spending time with friends, ben & jerry, ... I have a listography page I try to update every once in a while & you can find it here http://listography.com/winglessdreamer.

Music: Pretty much anything, p.e. cocorosie, Ludovico Einaudi, Detektivbyran, Alicia Keys, Kate Nash, ... My last.fm is http://www.last.fm/user/winglessdreamer.

One of my latest favorites (listen while reading more)

TV: Glee, CSI New York, Castle, Flashpoint, The big bang theory, Gossip Girl, Prison Break, Desperate Housewives, Wonderfalls, Pushing Daisies, How I met your mother, ... Yeah, I like lots of them.

Movies: I mostly watch romantic comedies, but I don't limit myself to that. Some movies I really like are Lars and the real girl, Slumdog millionaire, Match point, Kung fu panda, Amélie, A beautiful mind, Wicker park, The holiday, Les barons (Belgian movie) and (500) days of summer.

Books: I don't read that often, but I really like Sophie Kinsella's books and the Sisterhood of the traveling pants series by Ann Brashares.

How many pen pals do you have?: I have quite some penpals, but most of them only write every few months, so it'd be nice to get to know some new people. I take penpalling and my penpals quite serious; to me it's a way of life.

How many do you want?: not much, maybe 2, I wouldn't be able to manage a lot more.

How long are your letters?: It depends on who I'm writing to and how interesting my life is at that moment... I like it when you ask questions & reply my questions to you, it keeps the conversation going. Let's say my letters are medium to long: usually 6 sides of A5 or more.

Handwritten or typed: usually handwritten & when I have time, I try to decorate them a bit.

Time replying to a letter: Usually a month, sometimes a bit longer, it depends on how busy life is at that moment and how quick my penpal replies. If a penpal waits long to reply, I'll wait a bit longer too. If the penpal writes back immediately, I'll try to write back sooner.

Ages preferred: Preferably around my age, but tell me why you think we should be penpals, & we'll see :)

Where from?: That's not a big issue

Languages: It'd be useful if you could speak any of the languages I speak :).

What I'm looking for in a penpal: a friend, more specifically a long-term friend

And a picture...
