Name: Kristina
Nickname: Ina-Kristy
Age:27
Gender: Female
Location: Chicago-Land, Illinois, USA
Occupation: Shift Supervisor
Languages spoken: English, some German
Relationship Status: Taken
Religion: A random assortment of beliefs, but mostly Buddhist.
Interests: I love snuggling under the covers with a good book or journal on cold days, running outside to play tennis on the sunny ones. I draw and crochet to calm my mind. I adore animals, especially cats.
Movies: If it makes me think, or starts a good conversation I'll watch it regardless of what it is. I do however, like brain candy as well. Examples of this being Tallidega Nights, Harry Potter, and The Dark Crystal. I really enjoy movies with expressive imagery, like Nightmare Before Christmas, Moulin Rouge, and Interview with a Vampire.
Video Games: I'm a Playstation girl. I play DDR more than anything else. My all time favorite game is Bioshock. My current addiction is The Last Guy.
Books: I will read everything from a dictionary to smutty vampire romance. Really. I am drawn to books that change as you grow. You know, the books that you can read four months, four years later and take away something different everytime. My all time favorite book is Enders Game by Olson Scott Card. Currently I'm reading The Art of War. I tend to gravitate towards history (both fiction and non-fiction), classics, science fiction/fantasy, and cookbooks. I have worked in several bookstores and am willing to admit that I was totally wrong to ever make fun of Harry Potter, it is the best series of all time!
TV: I hate reality TV. I love anime. Crime dramas, while repetitive and predictable still tend to suck me in, I can't seem to pass up CSI. Sadly, we caught some reruns of Bevis and Butt-head on MTV the other day and it still made me laugh....
Music: I am all about vocals! If there is a great vocalist I will listen. I also love to sing. I'm hard of hearing, so I really like the feel of some good bass. Right now I'm really into Wicked, Dispatch, and Kelly Clarkson.
Pen pal info:
How many pen pals do you have? Two.
How many do you want? I'm hoping for a few.
Do you want email pen pals? Not really. Letters are tangible. Real. I feel like email is impersonal.
Do you want snail mail pen pals? Yes. It makes me sad to think that people are forgetting the art of actually writing a letter.
How long does it take you to reply to your letters? Usually a week, unless something crazy is happening. Writing is relaxing so I take it with me and write anywhere.
Would you like your pen pal to be male or female? Either way. I'm comfortable writing to either.
What age would you like them to be? I would prefer someone between the ages of twenty to thirty five.
What are you looking for in a pen pal? I love different cultures. I would really like to meet people from other countries. To get a chance to talk about all sorts of things from everyday life to politics or religion with someone who comes from a different background than my own. I want to meet people whom I can develop a friendship with.
Where would you like them to be from? Anywhere in the world except for the US.
