Hello People Who Write Letters

Jul 15, 2008 02:18

I live in England. And I'd like a penpal.

If those two tit-bits of fascinating information don't entice you to want to write to me then I don't know what will.

I like ;

second hand clothes,       quiet people,          The Smiths,            pessimism,          hi top trainers,       using big words when totally unneccesary,

dropping lyrics into conversations,              lists,                brooches,                      mundane things,                     wit,

I'll write good letters, possibly the best you have ever read. We can talk about absolutely anything; bemoan our uneventful lives, appalling jokes that don't deserve to be shared but shall be shared anyway, what we ate for breakfast, a yearning for happier times, our favourite lyrics, that moment we both knew we wanted a pen pal.

Has there been a moment in a song where when you have heard it, you sighed a little at how perfect it was?

Mine : Sufjan Stevens - Redford (For Yia Yia & Pappou) - at the 34 second mark , every time I listen to it.

The Smiths - There Is A Light That Never Goes Out - the final chorus, 'And if a double decker bus, crashes into us', the way the 'us' is sang just a little lower than in previous choruses, is heaven.

The National - Baby, We'll Be Fine - the violin at 2min 24 secs.

Hope to hear from you. Be happy x
