Day One
Day one is over and was so amazing. First my dad wanted to see a band named Steel Train they were really good. At this point there was barely anybody around and it was so cool. Like a personal show or something. Then we ate lunch and that was sweet. Then it really got sweet. So i'm watching this guy named Devandra Banhart or something and he was so amazing, but guess who I'm standing next to. I'll give you a hint. Race to the Prize...Waitin for Superman...Do you realize??? Yeah that's right I watched Devandra standing next to the Flaming Lips how freakin cool is that. On top of that because everyone is all hippy and crap no one freaks out so it was all normal for me and my dad to be standing right next to the flaming lips. Then The Decemberists played and I got to listen to that insanely good music while watching the lips and Devandra talk about the show. The the shins who were very interesting. You learn a lot when you see someone live. I don't feel like explaining it but the music was fantastic. Then Beck played and by that time there were thousands of thousands of people there. It was insane. He was really good but some of it wasn;t my style. He was so cool though. Yummy what a day. I stood in one place as 4 bands came and went, in the most relaxed atmosphere. So amazing. Anyways today is a big day. Ween plays at 2:45 so we are getting to the front at noon and listening to two other bands so we can be right up front for Ween. Hopefully they call me on stage. Hopefully I can get my pumpkin inside so I can give it to them. I'm so excited. The coolest part is the bands walk around like it's all normal and no one really bothers them. Me and my sister are definetly gonna be talking to Ween afterwards. After Ween we got Flaming Lips and Jackie boy if we aren't too tired. Ill fill you in later.
