From Tolstoy to Tinkerbell, from Berkeley to [Seattle]
To sum up my spring break with random events (I'm too tired to form complete sentences):
*Roadtrip with my boyfriend and another couple
*Failing at starting a fire, even with wood, newspaper & lighter fluid
*SO MANY vegan donuts (2 kinds in 2 cities, approximately 3 dozen between the 4 of us)
*Staying in The Lorax, Loth's sister co-op
*Camping in a tent in the backyard of a hostel in Portland
*Giant statues of Lenin and a troll under a bridge in Seattle
*Successfully starting a fire the last night = vegan hot dogs & s'mores
And now for the highlights:
*FARM SANCTUARY! Petting rescued pigs (pigs bred for food are HUGE! Bigger than me!), cows, goats, turkeys, sheep, and baby calves!
*This last one is too ridiculous to be believable: buying religious floaty pens (Noah's Ark, Adam & Eve, THE ASCENSION, JESUS WALKING ON WATER) at a metaphysical store in Eugene Oregon.
I don't think it could've gotten much better. This entry really deserves one of the old school epic lj piture posts.
