to see You high & lifted up, shining in the light of Your glory

I went to the city yesterday with Patrice, a friend of the family. Like I said, she wanted to check out an electrolysis school. Like I didn't say, she's a bit insane. We got severely lost and walked in several circles around SoHo and Little Italy, but that was okay because it was really nice out and we went to a lot of really cool stores. We went to Paul Frank and I bought the coolest watch in existence.....a navy blue & pink Union Jack. I've always admired it, and now, thanks to an impulse, it's mine.....my precious.....my squishy. We also went to Fresh, that really cool and insanely expensive home-remedy-esque body/hair care store, and I got a small, $9 tube of face mask. Then I bought a light blue "Jesus is my Homeboy" shirt off the street for $10. So cool. All in all, it was an excellent day. I haven't been in that area of the city in a long time.
All week I thought I had to work tonight, but I don't! That completely made my day. Now I'm free to go out....maybe to dinner with some interesting folk, or to Borders or Starbucks or what have you. I still have almost $40 that needs spending.....iced chais, caramel frappuccinos, and new books call to me.....
Speaking of books - egads! Summer reading is a curse. I really need to get on that.
Bye! (No, sillies, I'm not doing my reading now! *Pft!*)
~*Peace*~
