You should tell someone about your hours. Since it's the beginning of the semester, you're being proactive about not having enough - if you wait, it probably would be your fault that you didn't have enough.

I agree. The longer you wait, the worse you are going to feel about bringing it up. At this point, you're just reacting to the situation.

Ditto. Now is the perfect time to bring it up; you've been there long enough to know that it's not a passing thing and not long enough that it's your fault.
