Yeah, I'm obviously trying hard to catch up on Mary movies.
Replacing Dad
This is usually not my kind of a movie. And Mary’s dubbing voice made it even worse, reaching the low point when she started to sing. *oooouuuuch*
I would really like to watch this movie with her original voice, because the good thing is: Mary was in it a LOT!!! She practically carried the whole movie, was in almost every scene. And she had some pretty good ones! Laughing, flirting, crying, working out, beating up men…you know, like the usual stuff…
Passion Fish
I wanted to watch that one so very much, but it was quite an act to get the DVD. After it arrived from Korea (I highly recommend this ebay seller, it was in my mailbox only 4 days after I had won the auction *impressed*), I finally got along to enjoy this movie. Someone once referred to it as a “gem”, and it certainly is! It’s powerful, touching, funny and sad at the same time. Two great female characters, played by two wonderful actresses who have an incredible chemistry on screen.
For All Time
Mary had less screen time than I had expected, but her scenes were really cute. Especially the river scene was both, funny and heartbreaking. She and leading actor Mark Harmon certainly saved the movie of turning into something dull. I liked the idea behind it, though. Excuse me, where can I get on that train?
