in other news, the first six chapters of my book have been sent to a friend of a friend (who was very impressed with it, by the way). the friend of a friend is a canadian novelist. now apparently he is going to read it and give me some feedback. i'

if i had the money, i'd give it to them. they seem to think i have plenty of money but just don't feel like paying them back.
but it's really funny how when i almost have it all paid back to them, they start adding their "interest rates" and etc. so that it gets right back where it started.
so why worry? i don't.

I was indebted to a pawnshop for three years before paying off some eight thousand dollars or so in interest

the equipment I pawned is worth less than a third of what it cost to recover

I learned a lesson somewhere in that
