Known as the place of magic and spiritual healings.
The sights were amazing. A culture shock.
The streets a bazaar place to witness.
Cows,horses,camels,pigs,dogs,monkeys,rickshaws,bikes,trucks,taxis,wagons,donkeys,vehicles and
millions of people all moving in different directions, fighting for space to move and survive.
The poverty is appalling and disturbing.
The markets an experience of noise, music, smells and colours.
RISHIKESH, the most famous spiritual ,Buda, Hindu place in the world.
Where the Ganges River meets with the Himalayas and the water flows down the mts. into the river,
believed to be healing waters. Beautiful ancient temples. At night in candle light was a scene to behold.
Holy people wearing colourful robes would chant and pray. These sounds would echo through the mts.
I could feel the vibrations through my body. It was exhilarating!
I visited the temples and rang the large bells. I sent prayer wishes ringing through the mts. to my family.
I threw my broken heart into the river. It was my quest.
HARIDWAR, another place along Ganges River. Here the Indian people preform their rituals of cleansing
in the river. This place believed to be "the gates of God."
Here the Ganges meets with the Bay of Bengal, along the foothills of Himalayas called "footsteps of God."
Pilgrims have come here since 2000 years. Known to cause healings.
TAJ MAHI, a beautiful structure over 400 years old. Arcitect is amazing. But the story behind this place
has a very sad ending.
DELHI, a city of millions. 60% street people in poverty. A place of corruption. The pollution unbearable
Above the dark streets are great new highrise buildings. A contrast in time.
Although I was visiting my sister and busy being a tourist, I was aware that some under current energy
was stiring inside me. When I arrived home, I explored this feeling. It was the magic.
Maybe I picked it up when I touched the Ganges River. Or maybe it was the strength within me, that
was always there. I just needed to find it again.
I saw all the signs. I listened and learned. I feel humble and thankful that I was given this time.
I completed some circles of my life in this journey. Amen.
