water water everywhere...when will the mold follow?

I opened the door to my room at school today at 6:15am to be greeted by about 1.5 inches of water. Seems a pipe under my suitemate's sink burst sometime last night. I know it was last night because I worked yesterday until 5:30 pm.I got lucky in that nothing of mine really got wet. The fridge did but just the bottom of it and it still works. Everything else was off the floor.

About 1/4th of the floor had standing water in both rooms and about a 5 ft radius of the carpet in front of the rooms.

They came in and vacuumed up the visible water and fixed the pipe. I am worried that is not enough though. We have floor to ceiling cabinets in our rooms and in my room the water was seeping out from under the cabinets all day long and I think the rug in front of the rooms was getting wetter. They never brought fans to start drying things and I wonder how effective a fan is going to be at drying out under the cabinets anyway. They put in another call to the plumber because I said I did not feel all the leeks were fixed as it was a steady stream seeping from under my cabinets all day.

I did not actually get the kids into the room until 11:30 so the day was shot to hell for teaching. No biggie.

I am now wondering when I should start worrying about mold. They have already closed one room in a different area of campus due to mold so it is in the school... I made it clear to the office that I was worried about it. I guess I will start carting my things home...I cannot afford to have them taken due to mold damage.
