Really, such a lovely chapter. And Abed, how I love that man. Annie is sweet and Abed is so kind and thoughtful and Jeff is so broken, but still kind. I love everyone, and this is definitely one of my favorite chapters :)

It just seemed like the way that Abed would go about pursuing someone. He'd be all logical and strategic about it, choosing the tactic that would stand the best chance of success.

I too love Abed. He's pretty awesome. I tried really hard to capture those qualities even with everything that they're going through in the story. I know that this was a transitional chapter, so I'm happy that you enjoyed it so much.

Something that does seem odd to me...why didn't Annie and Abed confide in anyone about their feelings toward each other to anyone? (Like Britta for Annie or Troy for Abed...and Annie)

Other than that no flaws.

There are two reasons for that. The in-story reason would be fear of ruining the group dynamic, the same reason why Annie asked Britta, Jeff, and Abed to keep her night with Jeff to themselves, combined with a desire not to be a burden to their friends (at least on Annie's part). The out-of-story reason is that there wouldn't be a story to tell if the group already knew.

Okay.

No, no sequel. The next story will be something completely unrelated to this. It's actually going to be a bit more of a drama. I'm still fine-tuning the details, but I have a general idea of the plot and the set-up. I just hope it's not a disappointment to the readers, but then I always worry about that when I publish each chapter of every story, not just the first one.
