Thank you! That is probably one of the fluffiest scenes I've ever written. It also allowed me to resolve something that always bugged me about the books. I don't think Harry ever truly appreciated the sacrifices that Hermione made for him, whether it was breaking the rules, risking her life at the Ministry, or choosing to stay with him when it meant losing Ron during the Horcrux hunt. I also thought it would be the sort of thing that Luna would very lightly point out to him.
There will of course be more Hermione/Ron, though it will mostly be watching them crumble. As you can see in this chapter, there are some definite issues between them even if the love is still there. The issues will of course grow more and more prominent as the story continues on. I just know that I wouldn't want to be with someone like Ron, treated more like a mother than a girlfriend.
Yes, the upcoming scenes with Hermione and Draco should be fun to write. I'm actually working on the next chapter as we speak.

I really enjoyed it because you're right, re: Harry never really understanding the sacrifices Hermione's made from her love & friendship for him. Luna's subtle way in helping him realize it was perfect. She let him learn on his own, which made his (IMO) appreciate Hermione's friendship all the more.
Gotcha. I'm actually looking forward to seeing their interactions. I don't like them, for the reasons you've stated (mother/girlfriend, plus I've never liked the way he's treated her in the books), so to see how you're going to tackle their relationship is very interesting.
Awesome! Can't wait to see more! :D

I think that being gently led to a conclusion gives it that much more impact than having someone just come right out and say it. Plus, I think that would be Luna's approach. She just doesn't strike me as the kind to just bluntly set someone straight.
I hope I handle it well. I don't want it to turn into Ron bashing, but at the same time, you are seeing it from Hermione's POV and she'll see his faults clearer than her own. I hope to keep it within the problems that would seem natural in their relationship (so, no abuse because I don't really think Ron would ever hit Hermione unless it was because he was dancing or something-I don't see Ron as being a graceful dancer).
