I had a bad experience at Walmart yesterday. About two weeks ago, I bought a copy of Love Actually for $4.88. I was really excited because I hadn't seen it in awhile and the fact that it was so cheap. I actually convinced Brad to watch a girly movie with me and we put it in the DVD player. It woundn't play. There were bubbles in the DVD. It was depressing.
So, yesterday, I went back to Walmart to try and return/exchange it. So, trip one to the customer service desk told me to go back to the electronics section and get another one. Well that crapped out because they had no more of them. So, trip two. While waiting in the LOOONG line, this stuck up lady and her daughter just walk up to the counter and get immediatly waited on! She bipassed the whole waiting in line thing. I guess her time was much more valuable than mine. Anyways, I went back up and told her that there weren't anymore. She told me that I HAD to EXCHANGE it. They refused to give me my money back, a gift card, or anything else. I had to get another DVD and pay the difference. This pissed me off. I now have to pay more money in order to return a defective DVD. So, after much marching around, I went back and picked out a DVD that was $7.50. So, I got and wait in line again. The lady does the exchange and I run my debit card through. My machine says approved but hers says nothing. So she tells me to run it through again. Again, mine says approved and hers says nothing. So she cancels the transaction and trys the whole thing over again. Finally my card goes through. HOWEVER, instead of just putting it in a bag and telling me to have a nice day, she OPENS the DVD, quite visciously right in front of me. After a few moments of seeing red, I realized that she did it so I couldn't return this one for money.
Maybe this sounds petty, but I HAD my recepit, you could clearly see it was defective, and why is it going to hurt the GIANT Walmart corporation to give me my $4.88 back?????!?!?!?!
Ok, that was my rant. Just thought you should know - the return policy at Walmart SUCK!
