Summary: When a star falls, it must learn to get back up again.
Notes: This came from...lots of places. Stardust, the whole muse trope, and the fact that I'm currently watching An American in Paris. It's loosely based on an idea I had for a Sherlock fanfiction, but diverges quite a ( Read more... )

Ohhh...so beautiful!

I swear, if you don't at least self-publish this project when this is done I will be a VERY unhappy kitty. I have a spot on my bookshelf waiting for it.

I hadn't even considered that, actually.

I'd have to have Pip look over it all, clean it up a bit.

Christ, would anyone actually want to BUY it? How does one self-publish, anyway? I could ask Reapersun, she published that awesome Wreck comic...

*points silently to an empty spot on her bookshelf*

Given the amount of quasifamous writers - and well-known authors, here and there - in the Sherlock fandom alone, I'm sure *somebody* could point you in the right direction!

Smeg.

This is weird.

...what would I even use as cover art?

Ooh! That's an idea! Project Tarot Cover Art Contest!

Hmm, that IS an idea! ^_^ I wish I could draw, I'd totally throw something together for it! Sadly, I'm only a model, and one model does not a Major Arcana deck make.

Snrk. It's cool to know I have one interested buyer, but I'm honestly not sure there's enough demand to justify the expense. I have a sneaking suspision that self-publishing ain't cheap.

Mmph. Possibly correct. Maybe I'll just c&p everything into EPUB format and hustle it to everybody I know until an editor bites.

You really are enthusiastic.

I'm slightly baffled that you're enthusastic about me, but I'm also flattered, which is nice.

I get HIGHLY enthused about new authors, and I don't particularly care if they're published or not. I liked your fanfic before; this project in particular, though, sets my brain on FIRE because A) Tarot is near and dear to my heart and B) the myriad original worlds you're spitting out a week at a time is bewilderingly different and amazing each time. I hope I'm not coming off as creepy or anything, I just think you're brilliant. *shrugs*

You're kinda coming off as a reason to get up in the morning.

Seriously, this project is kinda difficult for me, because I'm also re-writing BiG and dealing with RL fam-crap and by and large I just do a bit of brainstorming throughout the week before Sunday hits and I'm all, 'Oh shit! I haven't written it yet!' And then I furiously pound out at least a thousand words and figure it'll do even if it's awful.

Then you comment and I just...I want to draw the next card.

Awww! I'm glad I can help! ^_^ Seriously, every time I see another Project Tarot post I get all wriggly and have to read it RIGHTNOW. It's like a blind taste test by a gourmet cook - you have no idea what you're in for, but whatever it is it'll be awesome!++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Soon, I too shall have a cat, and I shall know first hand. I hope I meet with her approval as well.

Very fine! Got one picked out, or waiting on circumstances?

Option B. We're getting her after my sister and I find a place. Where we live now forbids cats.

Then I shall cross my fingers that a place becomes available soon!

Also, putting together a folder of ebooks for you.

...and you have an Eddie Izzard icon.

Mind blown.

D'you know, the weirdest thing about this whole idea is that if I published it, my readers would learn my real name.

And that's just freaky...
