Life continues apace without Victor, and Hugh is, in all fairness, doing his best. But I'm not hurting for lack of stable computing.
Today Ma Soeur and I went to Barnes and Noble, which is probably my favourite place to go. To be honest, I preferred Borders but, you know...
There's this place in town called The Book Seller, but I've never been. I used to go into town all the time when I was in school, but now that I'm not there every day it's mostly a hassle to get there and if we're going to be in the car anyway, we might as well go out to the shopping districts nearby. Still, I have to get in there at some point.
Anyway, we went to Wegman's after that and picked up some mushrooms, with a pitstop in the ethnic foods section to pick up some curly-wurlys and Jaffa cakes (Jacob's, not McVities, but you can't have everything). When we came home, we settled down and I read aloud to Ma Soeur from my new purchase, Paris in Love by Eloisa James.
It's all been terribly...domestic. All in all a good day, apart from the bit where my nephew kept body slamming me. I've got bruises from that little terror.
Oh! And I found a couple of old gift cards in my wallet that I gave to the lady at the counter at Barnes and Noble. They were practically full! One of them still had the full amount! I now have almost $42 I didn't know about!
And in two weeks I get my new computer. I've had worse days.
