It was the middle of winter, and it was cold! The worst time was in bed, when my head was out of the covers and freezing. It took about 3 months to grow to a length that looked like I had a very short haircut rather than stubble, but my hair grows pretty quickly.
It suited my face, but would have looked much better if I was thinner. At least I don't have an odd-shaped skull - no bumpy bits. *g*
