Well, Nicolai, you're insufferable. Never the less, I can only respect (thought regret) your feelings toward the holiday, but I am giving you a present whether you like it or not. And you will like it.

Speaking of which; Dan? Is the 2 AM delivery of those flowers still in order?

Technus paused at his computer.
"Ah, shit." He ran and locked the door. There was NO way he was taking part of this stupid holiday.

Ghost Writer grabbed his coat and his gift that was wrapped in paper that was purple and green, the binary code 'present' written on it. He thought it would give Technus a laugh. He took off to the house and knocked when he got there, standing patiently when he did so.

Technus stayed perfectly still. The windows blines were shut down and closed. Maybe if he was really really quiet his boyfriend would go away.

"Technus, I am going to stand here until you open the door," Ghost Writer clutched the box with a constant smile. He tried to peer through the blinds, but to no avail.

This was going to work! He was going to give up soon! He smirked at the thought of victory until he heard the words of defeat from his brother outside.

"Hey, you here to Nic?" Dane was outside the door with some groceries looking at the Ghost Writer.

Ghost Writer smiled jovially at Dane. "Yes, I am, it's good to see you, Dane." He showed off his present. "I'm trying to deliver my gift to Nicolai but he won't open the door. May I come in with you?"

Ghost Writer, meanwhile, was all smiles as he unwrapped the gift for Technus and opened the box. What he pulled out was a black and green striped scarf that had little fringes at each end. He turned around and wrapped it around Nicolai's neck. "I hope you like it, it took me forever to knit."
