traveler

Yesterday I had a quite intelligent moment with my friend about food left-over and travelling. She is a really smart girl and one of few friends of mine who actually got the taste on travel.

We were on a Chinese restaurant eating cheap, not full yet, we were heading to a cafe with a really good velvet cake (i swear it was so good!!). I finished the whole huge cake at once, while she put her left over back in the package to take home. Not many of people i know actually appreciate food as she does. We have something in common here. I too, appreciate food very much. We try not to left anything on plate to waste. If it possible bring it home although it's just few left. Though my reason for not left any food behind is somehow different from hers. For me it's because of my principle to not left everything on plate to appreciate the cook, and people who grow the ingredients.  But hers more because her pitying poor people. She said something like this: "We normal people think like 'what should we eat today?' while some people will ask themselves 'are we able to eat today?' " That feeling of guilt just there on the back of some people. And yeah after that I remembered my house assistant and other people i know who sometimes borrow money just to buy food for their family.

We have view on judging bad on food, we try to avoid doing that. It is different when it comes to travelling though judging is not needed on this, she said. People should try different stuff when they travel. She told me this way of thinking that she got from her mother which is "when you got a chance to experience something new even if it's costly  it worth the try" That's when i found out why she likes to travel and taste expensive food while travel or just go to an overrated touristic place. Even if you don't like what you have afterwards and you feel regret, it worth the try.

This reminds me of another girl, the japanese girl I met in Berlin. She has sacrifice her job just to experience new life for a moment in a strange place (yes, berlin is somehow strange). She's one of the example of people who's good at using the chance she has and do it in a very fun way because now she has traveled to many different cities.

I noticed that the more you see, the more people you meet, the wiser you be. Let's be a traveller! >D
