To continue my previous adventure. -- 2nd day in Berlin, I met another Indonesian people who came for research. At that moment, i notice, nothing could be more comfortable than to meet people from the same background on foreign country. I went to a couple of museums that are quite cheap including Bauhaus Archive. I was stunned by the work. Ok, not the work but more to the explanation. Bauhaus Archive contains early Bauhaus work such as table lamp, chairs, and other interior that we find daily. It's amazing how they could invented such a functional and funky design.← ok now we talk geek -- [day3-4: making friend with a fantastic girl]3rd day was the best. Not only it was the concert day, but I also met new and old friends. I met and spent my day with my highschool friend. We gossip alot and talked about how miserable yet fun it is being a poor student in europe. Apparently you can be really rich if you study in Germany :p everything here is cheap and it's easy to get work. And at night I finally watch the concert. DOKIDOKIDOKI!!! I was so afraid to watch alone actually, but I randomly made friend with a japanese girl that also went alone. We exchange contacts and still now keep in touch. I learned alot from her. She quit her job in japan as a graphic designer last year, and decided to live in Berlin for 9 months. To provide her need she works part time in a restaurant, and she will go back to japan in a week to find a job again. Her life is that simple!!! This is what i like from a japanese mentality. They work necessarily and they know how to fulfill their need for adventure or just how it feels like to live in another country. I would like to do that in the future. But not now.
The concert itself is amazing. Ok not really if i look it from the venue. I am an idealist. The stage was quite small for toe who likes to swing their guitar around. hahaha. But atleast they played some of my favorite songs. The coolest thing happed afterwards is that I can shake hands with Takashi Kashikura (drummer) fuaahh fuaahh xD he is so talented and quite funny when talking. And Satoshi Yamane (bassist) gave me a good impression :D he's really polite and creative. He owned a clothing brand that looks really himalayan. --
4th day I was back in Holland. Didn't sleep well because i have a fight with a friend about which one is better : Sonic or Mario Bross. I still think Sonic is better --
5th day afternoon I went to Brussel for another concert of Toe. I must say. The best day ever happen in my life in 2012. The concert venue's was better than Berlin. So the sound echo was just perfect. The lighting and atmosphere is just perfect for Toe (atleast europe level). And I could sense that Yamazaki (guitarist/leader) enjoy this concert more. Too bad the setlist was not so different atall with Berlin's :\ But then again, I buy the atmosphere for a concert. It's more important to me. So yeah, after the concert, we met this japanese girl who arrange Toe's concert in London. She's a good friend of all the member. haha. She was so nice to me that she called Keisaku Nakamura (Toe's additional member) because I told her I'm a fan of him and his other band, Kowloon. And so my friend and I had a long talk with Nakamura about everything! mostly about other japanese band, and a friend of ours on facebook who have met him before. He is very funny! and good at english.
[aaand the bar] The best thing happened afterwards, my friend's friend organized/booked Toe. He invites Toe for drink. Though only Yamazaki and Keisaku and their Manager, Sinya Mizoguchi came but it was still ok :D And Sinya, I remember he remembered me from Berlin |D I guess my face is too obvious for them. He's really nice too. Ok, so we talked about anything in a quite famous bar in Brussel. I talked with Yamazaki and asked his impression about Indonesia as they held a concert last March there. He said he likes Bali. I wish! I wish they can have one there. Somehow I am motivated to make that happen. I would like Toe's concert in Balienese exoticism. And then I talked with Keisaku again, he's really passionate about how to advertise his band in europe. He asked alot about how Mouse on the Keys market their stuff here. I hope his band could also be popular in Europe. :)
So that was the best day ever. I couldn't believe I could talked to these people, meet new friends, or just random high/drunk people. The most extrovert night i had :p. Really hope I can maintain the communication with them. And because of this best night in 2012, my friend and I decided we should plan a trip to Japan soon. hhhaha *crossfinger*
