Islamists versus orthodox jews
There are many similarities between Orthodox Jews and Islamists. They both wear beards, they're both obsessed with God and afraid of sex, they both have questionable attitudes towards women and homosexuals, and they both lead their lives according to a pre-medieval legal code.
There is however one big difference: The Orthodox Jews don't proselytize. Judaism was only ever meant for the Jews. If you are super impressed by orthodox piety and want to join the club then you can - but you must first prove your sincerity and then undergo a period of intense study. If, on the other hand, that sort of thing is not your cup of tea - then feel free to ignore it. Unless, of course, you're born Jewish in which case, bad luck - everybody hates you and blames you for all the worlds problems! (including islam, of course, which is obviously a jewish conspiracy, der!)
The Islamists are different. They want EVERYONE to submit to islam and are willing to use violence to achieve this end. If they were willing to quietly pray and not eat porc over in their little corner of the earth (that is Saudi Arabia) then I would honestly not have a problem. Unfortunately they are not willing to do this.
