A prayer
Oh Allah, please don't destroy Israel. I promise I'll be good. I'll be kind to the orphan and the widow, and give generously to the poor. I'll call my mother every week, and not yell at my sister or call her names, even if she does that to me. I will brush my teeth and clean my nails and struggle to create a just legal system. I promise to eat fresh fruit and vegetables and to practice yoga and to ride my bike and to try to find always the beauty and the miracles in all of your creation, and to strive to bring out the better nature in all my fellow beings. Oh Allah, please don't destroy Israel.
