dayglo fanny pack...need i say more?
so i got an awesome outfit for saturday tonight. friday is my friend corinne's birthday and it's actually her golden bday, which i don't think she cares about the golden part so much as the fact that it's HER day. she may be worse than tessa when it comes to being really into the fact that her bday is coming up...possibly less obnoxious but still very into it. she has to have some awesome party for it every year, which is ok but i really don't understand why people take their birthdays so seriously. i mean, i'm pretty low maintenance and i know other people aren't, but why do you need everything to be awesome all the time every single year? i don't get it, it's a lot of hassle and i get upset when i invite people to things and they don't show up because i take everything too personally. hence, if i don't have a yeparty and just go out for drinks with a few close friends i'm bound to have a good time and even make some new stranger friends (those are usually pretty fun).
anyway, back to my outfit. friday we're having a happy hour thing for her actual bday and saturday she "NEEDS" to have a whole day thing even though we're also pretty much celebrating it friday too, but whatever. she came up with a vegas themed idea which is fun, and you can dress however you like...tourist, slut, card dealer, etc. so we went to a couple thrift stores tonight and i'm gonna be an old lady tourist. i have a hot pink and purple 90s style track jacket, a dayglo fanny pack, some old lady shorts, a clear green visor that says "las vegas" on the bill (how perfect??), a sleeveless purple button down floral themed shirt and i'm gonna carry around a cup with coins in it. best. outfit. ever. eh, eh?
