Author's Note: Because I woke up too early and dreamed of someone confessing like this to me. lol

Jongin woke up to the sound of his phone ringing at two in the morning. He already knew who it was by the familiar tune that he set for one specific person in his life. With eyes still closed, he grabbed the ringing gadget from his bedside table and accepted the call with familiar swipes of his fingers.

The phone wasn't even pressed to his ear yet when the caller began speaking. "-- ass down here because it's freezing."

"Yes, hyung?" Jongin stifled a yawn with his other hand.

He heard Kyungsoo grunt from the other line. "Get your ass off your bed and let me in. I'm here outside your house."

Jongin was about to complain that it was such an ungodly hour to be getting out of bed but his mind quickly processed Kyungsoo's last statement. "You're what? What are you doing out there?"

"A lot of things don't make sense. I can't sleep because of it and you need to help me."

Jongin was already sitting at the edge of his bed, his hand rubbing his tired eyes. "And you specifically need my help because?"

"Because you're -- oh, why don't you just let me get inside first?! Do you want me to freeze to death?!" Jongin was about to laugh at Kyungsoo's (cute) complaints but he heard teeth chattering on the other line and he began to worry.

About five minutes later, Kyungsoo was inside Jongin's room with the latter's warm comforter around him. Only Jongin's lampshade was switched on, its light illuminating the left side of Kyungsoo's face. He was sitting on the bed while Jongin was standing, still wondering what brought Kyungsoo to visit him at that time. And, maybe, admiring how adorable the elder's flushed cheeks looked at that moment.

"Stop staring at me like that and sit down." Kyungsoo grumbled.

Jongin chuckled quietly before settling himself next to the elder. "So what made you come here at two in the morning, standing outside my house, in the middle of winter, if I may add?"

"You." Kyungsoo answered in a menacing tone, his eyes throwing daggers at the younger.

Jongin was proud of himself for knowing this guy for about three years already, so the glares and spiteful remarks had almost no effect on him now. "What did I do, hyung?"

"Everything's not making sense right now. You're not making any sense in my thoughts. I have all these complicated feelings and stuff and they feel uncomfortable whenever I look at you and sometimes I feel like I'm going to be so out of breath that I may pass out and you're confusing me so much that I --"

"Whoa, hyung. Slow down --"

"Let me fucking finish, Kim Jongin, before I start going crazy." Kyungsoo warned.

Well, you're already acting real crazy right now. The younger held his hands up in surrender. "Okay, I'm sorry. Go on."

"I.. I never felt these things about you before, you know? Like we were just close friends who have a very platonic relationship -- well, except for the time when I got sick and you took care of me and you hugged me to sleep because I was freezing and I felt really fuzzy inside but maybe that was the fever messing up my brain or the time when you asked me to dance during prom because we were losers who didn't bother to ask any girls out -- but!" Jongin was surprised by Kyungsoo's abrupt halt. "That's not my point!"

Now, Jongin was amused with Kyungsoo's rant. He tried to keep the smile off his face, afraid that Kyungsoo would misinterpret it as Jongin making fun of him. The truth was, he already knew what Kyungsoo was getting at. Things had already made sense to Jongin a really long time ago.

"So what exactly is your point, Kyungsoo hyung?" The younger probed.

"I -- I don't know exactly. I just.. I thought those feelings would go away and it was all in my imagination but you suddenly met this Ravi guy and you start hanging out with him and laugh at his jokes with that obnoxious laugh of yours and that cute -- I mean, obnoxious laugh was only meant for me and I feel so fucking stupid that I want to wring your neck because I was jealous but I can't because I care for you, like really care for your dorky ass. And I was afraid that you'll leave me because I'm not as tall as that Ravi guy and my jokes are lamer and I have a really bad temper and --"

"You're pretty stupid for thinking that I would leave you." Kyungsoo looked like he was going to scold him for calling him stupid but the elder lightly gasped when Jongin's warm fingers carressed Kyungsoo's cold cheek.

"Well, I.." Kyungsoo's gaze avoided Jongin's and were now at the floor, because the intensity of Jongin's stare was overwhelming. "We're bestfriends and it frustrates me that I have those feelings when I'm not even sure if you're as confused as me over these things. Maybe I'm the only one going crazy right here."

"Well, yeah. You're the only confused one here."

A flicker of pain flashed in Kyungsoo's eyes but it was gone too soon when Jongin's plush lips covered Kyungsoo's. But even before the elder could register the younger's hot breath against his, Jongin was already pulling away, but still too close with their noses brushing.

"It was already clear to me for about three years now. Does it make sense to you now, hyung?" Jongin whispered quietly, his lips forming a loving smile.

Kyungsoo nodded in a daze, as Jongin leaned into him again for another kiss. Everything made much more sense now.
