flying

I'm in an airplane. It's beautiful up here. Incredibly bright though, I can't look out the window for more than a minute. You don't really get the full effect of the sun when you're on the ground, I guess.

I didn't have to go through any of the sexual assault pat-downs or porn scanners, which was kind of awesome. I did forget to take my shoes off when I went through the metal detector and my mom was worried they'd like take me aside or whatever.

Despite not actually going through advanced security, I still spent the entire time in the airport trying not to look like a terrorist. Like seriously, I didn't pull out my phone or ipod because I thought they might think I was setting off a bomb or something. I, an innocent USian citizen, should not have to be anxious that they're going to think I'm a terrorist.

Anyways, back to being on a plane. It's not that noticeable most of the time, though occasionally I get lightheaded as the plane moves or turns or something. But it's fun.

We passed through two cloud layers. That was cool. I feel really poetic, up here with the sun when everyone on the ground just sees overcast skies. It's like the sun is a secret that only me and a couple hundred other people get to know. Okay, if I ever make that into a poem I'm cutting out the "couple hundred other people part"; that's not poetic really.

We're in a 757, by the way. I want to fly on a 747, or whichever one is the giant ass one with like two or three floors of seats. That would be way different than this. But my only complaint about the plane is that the middle aisle is too small (the flight attendants keep brushing up against my elbow as they pass me) and that the windows are too small. I want to see the clouds and countryside, damn it. I'll have to fly across the ocean sometime and just look out the window and take pictures of the pretty clouds.

Yeah. That's really it. Oh, also I probably won't ever post on here from a plane again because the wi-fi normally costs money. But Google made it free for the holidays or something in exchange for some product placement. I'm not complaining.
