(no subject)
I've officially been in GB for a week. Training went really well, and I had my first shift on Thursday. Since only freshman are here, it was really slow. However, Niko fixed the popcorn machine and made a batch to test it out. Once it was done, I emptied out as much as I could out of the kettle, but a few kernels were left in there. They burned, and Justin opened the lid to get them out, sending out a tiny cloud of smoke. Apparently our fire alarms are really sensitive, and it set it off. It was pretty funny, all the freshmen were in the middle of Comedy City. Whoops.
Ashley (my roommate) moves in in a few hours, I'm excited. I've been here in my apartment all alone for the past few days, with the exception of Nathan who got here yesterday. My other roommate doesn't move in until Tuesday, when classes start.
I spent $310 on books, and I didn't even have to buy $135 worth because I'm sharing with Ashley, how sad is that?
Nathan and I watched Blades of Glory today, it's hilarious! We also started watching Weeds season 2. It's pretty good so far, but they changed the theme song and it's not as good.
I have a class on Friday as well as work, but I'm going to try to get off both so I can go to Margot's funeral. I'll leave Thursday night after class and stay for the weekend.
