Shameless Wedding Reception AW
AW=attention whore, by the way.
This weekend I went to visit my grandpa, and my good ole Aunt Melody was there. She asked how the plans were going on my reception, and she gave me some "gentle prodding" to get on to the next stage of planning (I'll admit, once I got the caterer and cake taken care of, I took a big sigh of relief and did NOTHING for about two weeks. Well, except for take care of the bridesmaid dresses!).
So today, I booked my DJ and paid a deposit! So there! We will not be having a iTunes wedding where drunk uncle Phil (not a real person) can grab the mike and talk about the college days. And there will be lights! Maybe if the budget works out in the end, there could be fancy lights!
So that's what I've been doing lately. Bridesmaid dresses came in, got tried on, got sent back for being HUGE, and new smaller dresses are on their way. DJ has been aquired. Next step: that pesky hotel block that I have to arrange for the same days as August graduation. Woe is me.
After that, flowers, several cases of wine and champagne, and then I get to worry about all the "extras."
Oh yeah, and invitations, I guess if I dont get them then people won't show up. I figured them out, I just have to pony up the dough and figure out how many I actually need.
