Myshuno 12: Freedom & 13: Sushi and Adelina

Prompt #12: Freedom

Summary: Jeanie’s first taste of complete freedom.

Jeanie leaned her head back against the seat in the taxi and closed her eyes. She had to acknowledge the thoughts that were swirling around in the back of her mind even though she was devastated and wanted nothing more than to curl up in a ball and cry. She was in a taxi on her way to college and that meant that for the first time in her life Jeanie was truly free of her mother. And since she had no intention of ever living with her parents again she was completely free! Forever! Despite her sorrow Jeanie had to smile at that thought. She could do as she pleased and wear anything she wanted. She sighed, freedom was an amazing feeling! She just wished that she had had the courage to leave a few days earlier so that her first taste of it wouldn’t have been so bitter-sweet…
Prompt #13: A Day in the Life of Sushi and Adelina

Summary: A typical day at the House of Cheese.

8am: Adelina Hair always woke up at the same time each day, even without the help of her alarm. She would roll over in bed and smile at her wife, The Grilled Cheese Deity. Even after years of marriage it was still a thrill to wake up next to her. An hour later she and the GCD would finally get out of bed, as usually a good morning kiss would lead to something more. They were always hungry so either Adelina or the GCD would conjure breakfast grilled cheese sandwiches for them out of thin air. The GCD had taught Adelina this trick and they took turns “cooking breakfast” each morning.
10am: Every morning the GCD would go down to the throne room to hold court and “Talk About Grilled Cheese” with any follower who wanted to talk about it. This was especially popular with the converts who came from families that seemed to lack nice points. While the GCD held court, Adelina raked the Zen garden and then meditated on the wonders of grilled cheese.
12noon: Lunch time was a sacred hour in the house. Adelina always cooked a few servings of grilled cheese and any worshiper was welcome to stay for a free meal. The first two plates were always set on either side of the throne as an offering and then the GCD would join them.
1pm: The throne room was closed and Adelina and the GCD returned upstairs to paint. Selling their paintings of grilled cheese sandwiches was one of their main sources of income, supplementing the donations from grilled cheese sims around Antarctica. It was also a relaxing activity. Adelina especially enjoyed it because she was always reminded of the afternoon when she and the GCD were painting and she had gathered up enough courage to tell the GCD how she really felt and had learned that the GCD loved her as well.
3pm: The GCD retired to their bedroom to continue writing The Book of Cheese and Adelina took time to read or watch the cooking channel. Sometimes she would call one of her siblings, or they would call her. Once a week Adelina would venture into the town to pick up groceries or visit the newest converts.
5pm: The dinner hour. The GCD always cooked two sandwiches for each of them, using some freshly imported specialty cheeses and various additional fillings like tomatoes, onion, or turkey. Dinner was a calm affair and they frequently enjoyed a bottle of nectar with the meal. The GCD would talk about the sims who had visited court and Adelina would tell the GCD about the latest news.
7pm: The GCD would open the throne room again and hold an evening service. Adelina, meanwhile, ran a cook book study group for the recent grilled cheese converts in the community.
9pm: The throne room would again close and the GCD and Adelina would go back upstairs to relax. Sometimes they played a game of chess or read a book. Other nights they would watch a movie together and some days they just talked.
11pm: The two women would go to bed and fall asleep in each other’s arms, ready to repeat their routine the next morning.
