After running a few errands (picking up diapers and yogurt, then back to Jana's school for re-stocking), I headed home. Michael isn't working today because he has to work Saturday. Another business trip, at least it's short.
Anyway, I got to sneak in some gardening. Advantages of living so close to work.
I finally transplanted my Wonder Light tomato plant. Its roots were looking rather crowded in its Starbucks 20 oz cup (I'm now hooked on clear plastic cups, I like seeing the root system). So I transplanted it into bed #2 without hardening. I can't count the time I had it out this morning. To address that, I actually put a teepee around it. Michael came out and asked me why I finally pulled the tee pee out. I gave him a laundry list. Then he said, "I see, you want to baby it." Hmm, okay. I can accept that. :)
I put in artichoke #2 as well. In the meantime, I am hardening 1 eggplant and 1 sweet pepper.
The tulip Jana uprooted isn't looking too well. Sorry. It was looking so awesome too.
I am finding that I just can't water the strawberries enough. Plus, they're starting to bend the gro-pole. So I need to work on drilling some 5 gallon buckets and start hanging them. Maybe in a week. Oh yeah, I need to remember to drill the new rubbermaid container for the banana tree.
Beds as of today.
