Updates

4:27 and I'm up. I'm feeling a tad sore and achey with a bad headache. Remnants of being sick. Plus, Jana had a pretty bad nose bleed around 3am which took a bit to control.

Saturday, both Jana and Michael came down with something awful. High fever, lethargic and aches and pains. By Sunday afternoon, Jana had rebounded. No change however, with Michael. By Sunday evening, it hit me and took me out yesterday, but my fever didn't seem to hit 101. Michael and Jana have been around 102. At this point, Michael is going on day 3 of this virus. And it bums me further that I twisted my _good_ knee running up and down the stairs tending to them this weekend.

On the bright news, we're now in 50F weather and the charting and popsicle stick method seems to have helped tremendously. Jana has now been able to earn and receive all of the Christmas gifts that were waiting for her, including her new netbook computer this weekend. It now takes about 33 popsicle sticks to reach the purple bar. I think it started out with 18. As I print a new sheet, I add a box for each milestone. A gradual enough change.

Jana's received a couple of Webkinz as birthday and Christmas presents from friends and family. She's been on the Webkinz website, the tough part is that the Webkinz website isn't friendly for small screens like her netbook. It's a technical issue that Ganz is aware of apparently, so it's a wait and see.

Kitchen, we're still on. The contractor was thrown off schedule with all of the unusual cold weather we've been having. Early March is now the target.

Shuttle launch...we had arrangements to be in FL for a launch scheduled for Thu, 2/12. Which got rescheduled last week to 2/19 and is now rescheduled again for 2/26 for a 3:30am launch. This should be fun with a 4 yo.

Cable switch, we're off Covad business DSL and DirecTV and are now on Comcast cable. Cable throughput is much nicer, but no quality improvement it seems from satellite. We're also switching to their phone service, but they forgot the part on the order that we're keeping our number. They also brought the wrong cable modem (it's for the slower package, we ordered the higher one). Why can't these things go smoothly?
