The Prepared Pantry's Strawberry Scones with Vanilla Cream Frosting

My mom and I made these last night:




They taste really, really good! But I'm a sucker for frosting. Mmmmm...sugar... There's...only one left. =^_^= We only made half a packet, so six scones, but I kept gobbling them down. One is never enough! The instruction were really confusing. "Cut the butter in the mix until it is no larger than pea-sized." What the hell does that mean?! So we just guessed and went with it. They certainly taste great, but I'm not sure if the texture's perfect. I've never had a real scone before (Starbucks' little mini scones don't count...I think. I don't think they're traditional...), so I don't know how "flaky" they're supposed to be. Are they flaky like biscuits? Are they supposed to be like all thin sheets when you split them? I don't know. Oh well. Still good, all the same. :) I want more.
