Blackberry 8800
My new phone arrived in the mail today: a Blackberry 8800. I know it's relatively old, but I still like it. I've wanted one for awhile. The "smart" texting was driving me insane. I couldn't stand it anymore, so I wanted a phone with a qwerty keyboard, but I hate the sidekicks. It's so unfair that you have to buy data plans for the new phones. I had to buy the blackberry on ebay for sixty-five dollars more than I would have had to pay if I had bought it from T-mobile with a contract renewal. I was going to get the Samsung Memoir, but they just changed it so that it would require a data plan just days before I was going to buy it. Damn!
The blackberry still confuses me a little bit. I almost broke it. I stuck the SIM card in the wrong slot and couldn't get it out. I took it to the T-mobile store because they said that they could help me get it out, but they didn't realize just how stuck I managed to get it. ^_^U They didn't have any tools there, so they told me to try pliers when I got home. So I did, and everything's good now, luckily.
I'm a little disappointed that the blackberry doesn't have a camera, and I don't see a place for those phone charms that I love so much. Other than that, I really like the sleek design, and I'm very happy that my texts look like emails.
