Alex and I went shopping this morning for the apartment. We got a leather chair to match the sofa, plates and cereal bowls with dancing elephants on them, a massive ornamental wall clock, and a floor-standing globe. I'm really excited about all of the stuff, but especially the globe. Yes it was an impulse purchase. Hell yes, I'm going to get my money's worth. (It spins on all axes.)
I spoke with Funny-Face (as Alex has dubbed the "quasi-date" guy) and FF said "I want to hang out with you this week, but I have a shoot starting at 4:30 AM tomorrow so I should stay home today." So no date for me. Luckily I have a life! Woo!
After the shopping expedition Rich called me.
"Hey Catherine. You're taking me to that cool Indian restaurant for dinner. How about 8? I'll see you then! Bye."
So naturally Alex, Rich, Matt, and I went out to dinner. Now that's the date I'm talkin' about. Rich took me out to get special dessert from some cool NYC dessert-only-getting-place. I had tiramisu. Mmm.
Then we came home, played Narnia for Gamecube (Chibi-Robo is better) and people went home and then I watched 5 episodes of Drawn Together. All in all, an enjoyable night. But... writing everything down now, it sounds sorta sad. Dammit.
