the most terrifying thing i have ever seen; what have we come to?
i was sitting in the kitchen studying, when i hear ricky lake on the tv. its a show about how mothers and fathers abuse their children verbally...instead of protecting the children of these abusive families they exploit it on television. They give these people attention for hurting their children, what is wrong with our culture. these children who come on the show and cry their eyes out about how hurtful their parents are get stared at and not helped. they are entertainment for the rest of the world. it makes me want to cry when i see that we are so drained of emotion when we watch tv that we no longer even question whether its good for the kids. how terribly embarassing must it be for a 14 yr old girl who has already gone through enough puttin up with a man who calls her a whore, but then you go and put her on tv for self centered resons and put her through an entire audience judgeing her and her problems. JESUS HELP US! and altho i know that it will do no good, if anyone can change the world plese do it!
its so sad to see the world as it is, because the truth is our individualistic society teaches our children to take their problems and stuff them down inside because even when the world knows, no one cares.
