Children are dirt magnets. Even if they are in an almost full-body cast and are either in a chair outside or stay on top of a tarp and not move around on the lawn outside, it is possible for them to become so dirt-covered you have brush as much of the dirt off before allowing/bringing them inside.
And it is also possible for the head to attract so much dirt their hair becomes a completely different shade, usually darker. And the dirt will appear in every place on their body, even those well-clothed areas.
