Bees are out of control. The big andromeda bush near the back door is akin to 'bee crack' - they come from all over to get at that thing. I took S outside to blow some bubbles, and we were dive-bombed and shooed around the back yard. Took S back inside, then went back for the other stuff while bees flew around my head. So glad I am not allergic, but not sure on S and rather wait on that.
And also found out we do not have some sort of hive under the eaves or in a shrub, but in the ground. Ground bees. Under the shrubs that need the most work. That have the most extensive amount of dead leaves mixed with some mulch. Or maybe dead leaves rotted down to compost. They are there, and are making it almost impossible to go outside. These bees around the side and front of the house are very territorial, and even moving to the back of the back yard doesn't deter them. That andromeda is being moved to the side of the house, switching places with the azaelia my sister has tried to kill.
Pretty flowers, too many bees.
edit: had a really pointless bridesmaid conversation and the big item of the agenda was eyebrows. To pluck, shape, pull out with strings or something else. I'm lazy, and will get around to it; but being pointed to and hearing 'well, hers will need a lot of help' not making a very happy ernie. (George Carlin school of thought here - are there two? Good!) That and strings and waxing and other painful crap other than plucking really ticked me off. I will be so happy when this is over. Off to cut the number of red shades in my hair down to two.
BTW - Happy belated bday to Kelly! Wishing you world peace and a BIG FREAKIN' TIARA on your day after special day.
