The new doctor.

"The whole of the British Isles folded on him, saying he was too young, too unknown when it was announced. I really want to fight his corner, I seriously think he’ll be one of the best Doctor Who’s. He’s the king of geek chic, and his energy is frantic and fantastic, he has an amazing imagination in scenes too. He’ll be electric." - Andrew Buchan (found at daily_eleven)

Now, I know that this is an unpopular opinion, but I have to say I'm actually a bit excited to be rid of Ten; I mean, he's great and all but I'm more than ready for something different. I know that he's depressed and mad and I know that traveling with the doctor is "beautiful but also terrible" and I'm over it, honestly, I'm sick of it. There is sending a message and then there is beating you about the head with a giant neon billboard and I think that RTD crossed that line a while back. Now, don't get me wrong, I love RTD, I think he's fantastic but I think he can't let go of a good idea and now the good idea is tired and bedraggled and needs a rest. I think that Tennant himself is a great character actor but I think the role has limited his range. I don't like the doctor being a caricature; I want variety from my doctor not just manic and depressed and manic again to cover the depressed. Also I think that the new companion is hot.

In conclusion, bring on the Moffat, I hope it's Fantastic.
