Magical 3 Day Weekend!
I had a magical 3 day weekend. Which was amazing since I've been working 6 days a week for about a month. And then I got to not have a full 6 day week and instead got 3 days off. I really needed it.
Betsy is here and we spent the weekend going to Shiroishi on Saturday, doing karaoke on Sunday, and hanging out and eating Indian Curry that made us full until this morning on Monday. It's been really fun! In Shiroishi, we ate hiyashi chuka u-men and I tried goma ice cream. We saw the castle and it was thundering like crazy, but we never saw the lightning. But it was raining like crazy.
Sunday was all-day karaoke. We karaoke'd for about 7 hours and then got some dinner out.
Monday we kind of chilled at home, at lunch curry that literally kept us full. We ate a snack at 9pm because we figured that we'd wake up starving otherwise. But haha, maybe the cure to world hunger is that magical Indian lunch set!
Today work was good and I felt refreshed and energized for the first time in a long time. That was good. There are staffing issues with Chie-sensei being in Chicago now, but we're all pulling through together.
Anyway, going to buy my ticket to America soon, so I'll have to look into that. Yay, American food!
