Hello~
It's Christmas here in the land of Japan, which means: Work! And the Japanese will eat Christmas cake and KFC, you know, just like all the Americans do. It sucks having to work on Christmas, but I'm trying to not think about it so much. At least Christmas Eve happened to be my Sunday, so I got to relax.
I spent time with my friend Keishi. I got him a book of American English Idioms and some other random stuff. He got me this super ugly hat. Hahah. Super ugly. But looks expensive. And is a girl's size, so it's almost too small for my head, but hey, it's the thought that counts!
My sickness has been a losing battle. The doctor thinks that I might also have Whooping Cough? I hope not. That would blow. It would explain the bouts of non-stop coughing, but I don't think that I have that.
I've been trying to keep to a skin-care regime. My face gets super dry in the winter, so I've been trying to wash my face twice a day and then put on lotions. I also bought some make-up, so I added that to the mix yesterday and today too. I'm usually pretty lazy when it comes to that stuff, so we'll see how long I can keep this up. I've been taking pretty good care of my face since November, so I'm hoping I'll be able to continue.
I'm hoping to have a tiny get-together at my apartment soon, but I have to do a heavy cleaning, first. And I need energy to do that.
I attempted to make truffles yesterday and I failed since I used an American recipe and didn't have enough chocolate and used too much heavy cream. A failure. A delicious failure, but a failure nonetheless. I wanted to make chocolates for work people. Maybe I'll try to make them tomorrow morning. Hmm.
Anyway, I'm going to get ready for work. I slept really horribly last night, so I hope I have enough energy to get through the day! At least this week is a 4-day week. Thank heavens! I NEED a rest!
keishi,
christmas
