I'm Happy!
I am happy. It's nice to be happy. ^__^ I am getting ready to embark on my trip throughout Japan with Sky. She's leaving America in about two hours and she'll be arriving in Tokyo tomorrow afternoon at 3:30pm my time. I'm excited to see her. I'm kind of worried about my money situation as UMASS needs to give me about $5,000 that they have yet to give me. I was planning on using some of that for our adventures. I think it's because for some reason, they're dragging their feet on my SAP approval. I handed in the paperwork in February, so I really hope that this doesn't cause a problem. Blah. If I don't get the money then I only have $700 for the whole trip. Of course, I'm also waiting on $2,000 of scholarships, but I have no idea when those will go through, but it's still worrisome.
Besides that, I misplaced my camera charging chord, so that is incredibly sad. I have the thing that connects to the wall, but am missing the part that actually charges the camera. I might have to head to Yodobashi camera in Tokyo and see if they have one of those chords.
I've been having fun in Shiroishi. We went out on Friday night and met up with a bunch of Mika's friends and I ended up chatting with Izumi most of the time. She's really nice. Weird, but nice. I like her. Sunday we went to the public baths and that was surprisingly nice. I'm still the terrified American who doesn't really like to get naked in front of strange grandmas, but there was a milk bath and a rose bath! *__* My skin felt so soft! I sort of wish I could do that kind of bath all the time! And I only sort of felt like passing out afterward, lol. I was careful to get in the cold water and not stay in the hot water long enough to get sick.
Thoughts are drifting...hee hee.
Tomorrow is going to be fun, I hope, haha. ^-^ Hopefully I can work out the transportation to Tokyo well.
Today I went with Mika to work. She had school at Natori. I woke up at 5:30 and gently nudged her out of bed and made breakfast. We left the house together and it looked like rain, but while Mika brought an umbrella, I didn't think there was a need for me. >_> Kind of lame of me. I decided to go with her and walk with her to her school. We rode the train and then as we got off the train it had started to rain. Some of her students were handing out 'good manners' tissues at the JR Station, so she was like, "Uh-oh, I wonder what they did wrong." Hahah. Since it was raining, we made an 相合傘 and walked all the way to her school together. Then since I didn't have an umbrella, she gave me hers and I felt bad, but it started pouring on the way back. ;0; Hopefully it won't rain when she's walking back. I came back, skyped with Sky to finalize some stuff, took a nap and then took a shower. Now I'm packing up some of my stuff and waiting for Mika to let me know when she can escape English club and then we're going to the grocery store and buying stuff to make for dinner. ^__^ I'm hoping for Mabodofu.
