The cherry tree next to the house is starting to ripen and I can lean out my window and pick cherries once they've fully ripened. That makes me nerdily happy and I can't explain why. Haha. I've never liked artificial cherry flavor, but I've always loved real cherries. :D
Kanto had his undokai yesterday and while I got a stupid sunburn on only ONE of my arms, it was actually a lot of fun. His group kept losing which was sad, but the parents had a chance to do a tug-of-war and I volunteered. Man, I pulled so hard and we won twice! It was awesome. Narumi pulled really hard and got a bruise under her arm which looks all icky and painful, but she says it doesn't hurt. I cheered really loudly for Kanto and he did a really good job. All the kids were cute. <3
After that, we went out to dinner at a Korean restaurant for Narumi and Mr. Koizumi's Wedding anniversary. Hina was fussy and everyone but me was hot. Kanto accidentally hit Hina near the eye with a fan and she started to scream. It was not the best time. The food was okay, the service kind of sucked and everyone was exhausted from the undokai, but it was okay I guess. My legs hurt and having to sit on the floor for like an hour and a half made them feel worse. I guess I'm just not used to sitting on the floor so much. I had to sit on the ground for the whole undokai and then for all of dinner, too. Me and my Western legs!
Poor Hina's fever returned last night and she was all hot and fussy. Poor baby. Narumi had to cancel going to the garden and so she was kind of sad about it, but I'm sure that she's also secretly relieved. Poor Narumi is working herself too hard.
