I had to stay home from school yesterday because of a terrible migraine. It was pretty bad on Sunday night, so I ended up going to sleep around 8:30pm, but woke up at 1am in more pain that before. I took a tylenol and tried to go back to sleep, but rolled around my futon in pain. Took another tylenol and it was around 3 am when I could actually get back to sleep. My head hurt so much that it hurt to even touch the pillow. Ugh. But other than that, Sunday was fun!
Sunday we (the kazoku and I) went to a baseball game! Now, I've never been to a baseball game before as if sounds horrendously boring, but Narumi offered to buy me a ticket since everyone was going and I said, "sure, why not?" and went. It was actually really fun! XD Sapporo Fighters vs. Osaka Hanshin Tigers. I must admit, though, the whole time I was there I was thinking about Sean. XD The stadium was really cool, and looks cool on the inside. Besides the fact that it was super crowded, it was fun to navigate around. We took a bus and then the subway and then rode a shuttle bus. Narumi was upset because she thought we were saving money (as it costs 2500 yen to park your car there,) but it actully ended up costing more money to go via the subway. Buu-buu.
Also, we're almost out of rice in the house so we were going to stop at a conbini to buy some rice balls, but we all forgot. So Narumi gave Koizumi-san 2000 yen and told him to get some onigiris. Now, being a dude, he scoured all around, but then could only find 'Jumbo Onigiris' and so he bought four! They cost 500 yen each! So he spent about $20 on four onigiri! Narumi and I were so sad. "You could have just bought two and we'd have split them!" But then, of course, he said, "But...Kanto would have wanted his own..." haha. Narumi and I were like, "Ugh...men. >__> Can't trust them to do something simple." Haha, but he really tried to scour all around to find regular onigiri. That's just our lesson that we have to make sure to bring our own!
It was amusing as I got to see some Osaka-fashions from the Hanshin Tigers fans, though! XD; The cheering was actually a lot of fun. All the players have songs! There were super die-hard fans that brought their own tubas to play. hahah. I told Narumi that I wanted to see a home run, and then the Tigers hit one! Amazing! And then the Fighters hit one!! It was super exciting! XD; Poor Narumi forgot her glasses at home and couldn't see the ball, though. And for having kind of crappy seats, I could see really well! And since I was carrying around Hina the whole time I didn't get a single, "nihongo ha jouzu desu ne!" so I was stupidly thrilled about that. XD;
When I mentioned it to Narumi, she winked and said it was because it hadn't been found out that I was a gaikokujin ("foreigner") yet. XD; There's a funny story about that, too.
Which brings me to the more amusing story...of Kanto. He asked me, "Melissa, what was your previous family name?" I was like, 'Uhm...Hill?" And then Kanto said, "yeah, and now it's Koizumi! Koizumi Melissa!" XD;;; I said, "Yeah, well, if you marry me then I can be Koizumi." And Narumi was like, "THAT WOULD BE GREAT!" and then Kanto kind of frowned and was like, "I'm sorry, I want to marry Sora-chan!" Hahahhaa. Rejected! So then I said that I married Narumi and she was the otousan (Dad) and I was the shufu (housewife) and she seemed to like that idea. Hahaha. She said in her best man voice, "Hey, get me a beer!" XD;;; Narumi's the best.
And later that night I mentioned something about being a gaikokujin and Kanto looked at me all wide eyed and said, "Melissa? You're a gaikokujin???" Hahaha. That made me extremely happy for some reason. And it made Narumi happy, too. She was like, "yay, I always wanted to raise children who just looked at people as people! I'm a success!" Aww.
Today is the Founding Day of my University, so I have the day off. I'm still kind of recovering from my killer headache, though. I want to go on a bike ride. There's a little bike path that I want to explore a bit. I've also been really good about not spending money, so I'm rather proud of that. I want to go outside and do something, but I'm also kind of worried about my head. -__- I'll probably end up biking somewhere, though. <3 I love my bike! ^___^ But other than that, I don't really have any other plans set up for today. Maybe I'll write...maybe I won't.
