Pnuemonia? NO. NEW-moan-ya!
XD; I've been doing pretty well for myself. I mean that to the lamest extent of the law. XD
I got really sick last Wednesday morning, and I awoke from my car-sleep with a wicked painful sore throat. I went about daily lurking in the library and got some medicine in town and just sucked it up. Wednesday night after my Japanese class, I couldn't take it anymore so I went to UHS (University Health Services) just to make sure I wasn't dying or whatever.
When I was there, I realized...hey, you know, my lungs kind of feel funny and stuff, I'll mention that as well.
LONG STORY SHORT. The doctor couldn't hear me breathe. I had to undergo two nebulizer treatments and it still barely helped me. I couldn't register much on a peak flow and she was like, "So....you don't have asthma?" Nope. My diagnosis was probable pneumonia and....restricted airway syndrome which she said was basically like having asthma without actually having asthma. Cool. I had to go back on Thursday morning to get a chest xray. Then I was sent home with some antibiotics and told to go back to Vermont. So I did.
Hacking and coughing. I've had issues with my ears, so after going to the doctors in VT when I got back and then spent the weekend sleeping and such. I had to e-mail all my teachers and told them about my condition and I had to go back to the doctors on Tuesday...there were bubbles in my inner ear, so I had to take sudafed. But isn't that super gross? Ew... ;-;
So, there's been a lot of swine flu jokes around the house, but I've been pretty miserable, honestly. ;____; I hate being sick. And being sick at the beginning of the semester sucks major balls. And the doctor that I saw on Tuesday was all gung-ho on trying to give me a tetnus booster. Is the first thing you do to someone who's hacking and has ear aches and a headache to offer a painful, buring injection? >__> *lol* I talked my way out of it, and he looked at my records and realized that I had one about 6 years ago and don't need one. >__>
So....I'm trying to find a job up here to work at when I'm not at school. I'm still trying to find a place to live down there and not really succeeding. I've had a few interviews but nothing really big for the job area....we'll see.
Uhm....I have a car, and its awesome. I love it. :D So that's a good thing. I'm working on trying to get internet at my house, but we'll see.
Oh, so I kept forgetting to register for the JLPT and when I went to go do it today, it turned out that both DC and NYC were full! So I thought I'd have to go to...Chicago or something. Or LA. Which would be less than ideal. But then I found out I could do it in Toronto. So....I have to go to Canada to take the Japanese Language Proficiency test. And I had to pay MORE for it. Lame. Oh well.
Okay, I'm being a creeper in the Barnes and Noble parking lot and using their wi-fi and I think I'm sort of done doing stuff online for now. I'm going to pick up Sky and then go for a drive.
