I took at nap around 1pm. Or at least, I TRIED to nap then. I was so cold that I had to turn on the heat and shut the stupid window in the storage tatami room. (Read: Hey, it's winter, Japan, stop opening all the windows in the house.) So I finally fell asleep I'd say around 3:30. ;-; And then I set my alarm for 5pm, and I guess I must of just not heard it going off or something, as I find myself waking up at 6pm. Heh. I hope that I sleep tonight. >.>
Today was a crazy day. I woke up at 5am when my host father left the house, and figured that I'd wake up. I did, and went online for a while, took a shower, basically got ready for my day. I ate breakfast and chatted with my host mother for a while, and then got ready to go to school to register for classes. I rode my bike (whoo-hoo) and I got there exactly at 9pm. ^.^ There were 3 other people that missed the orientation, so we did a mini-one together. One of the people wasn't there, though, so it was just three of us with the nice CJS lady. ^.^ I chose my classes, but after coming home have decided to change them. *nod* I also got my grades. *shrug* I found myself unsurprised at them. Haha.
Japanese 400: B+ (I think I got that exact same grade last semester, too. Grand.)
Japanese Religions: A+ (Uh, what? My first A+ in a class that I hated. Oh goodness.)
Japanese Writing III: B (Haha, didn't try too hard in that class.)
Calligraphy: A
I'd say those were some pretty good grades. I may look online to see what my overall GPA is, out of curiosity. Ooh. That equals 3.49. Not bad, but I could have done better in Japanese Writing. Not like I would have expended the effort for it. Heh.
Anyway, after that, I biked to Yagoto and did some shopping at Aeon. I bought a bicycle cover and additional lock, and bought varied and awesome dollar store goods. I even bought some make-up (Not at the dollar store, though). Haha. I wonder how long wearing that will last. I did have a good LOL at the amount of shades that make-up comes in here in Japan. Four shades. That's it. It's like, light, lighter, darkish, darker. I thought about how that totally wouldn't fly in America with all of our different skin tones and everything. Oh, good times.
When I biked home, it's when I realized how incredibly exhausted I was. Still, after three solid days of traveling, it's nice to be able to get some physical excersise. And then a nap afterwards was also nice.
Tomorrow is the first day of classes, and I want to go to sleep right now, despite the fact that I already napped. I may hit the hay around 8pm, regardless. The classes that I chose for next semester are as follows:
Japanese 500 (every day) Japanese tea ceremony Monday 1:30-3:00 (Jerks. They took away the language requirement for the class. >.> I could have taken it last semester, I knew I could have. Mega-jerks ((which are not unlike Mega Macs. Unnecessary and disgusting.)) Oh well.) Thursday Japanese Pop Culture from 1:30-3:45. (I figured it would easily transfer to UMASS and get a culture-y class outta the way.) And Friday Japanese Politics II from 1:30-3:45, which I may be swapping out for Japanese Lit. IV. Because I wanna read books. *shrug* What I think I may do is audit the Japanese Lit. class and then take Japanese Foreign Policy, on Tuesdays. The only bad thing about that being that it's from 3:15-5:30, which is a LONG time. So I'll think about it more tomorrow, I guess.
I think I may also try to get a tutoring job on the side now, as my WP Death Job is finishing as of this week. My finances are looking pretty sad as I've spent WAY too much money while in America. *wince* I did buy an awesome red pea coat and some nifty new clothes though. And I also managed to forget the souveniers that I bought, and I managed to forget buying them for my teachers. x.x Lame times.
Anyway, I'm reeeallly tired, so I'm going to finish typing now.
