The temps are decreasing, leaves are coming off the trees, and my TiVo is stretching out in anticipation of upcoming weeks of hard work. This year, I'm watching:

The programming pretty nicely spread out, unlike last year when Tuesdays were a virtual train wreck. Moving L&O to fridays makes things a bit tight, but this is why I own two TiVos.
I was afraid that I would hate the new female character, but she was not nearly as annoying as she might have been, perhaps because they didn't play up a 'sex-pot' angle, made her very intelligent, and an advocate for the team.
And would it be Bones if they didn't screw up some aspect of Washington? When the writers first mentioned a "federal holding center" in Alexandria, I thought perhaps they they were making an alusion to the E.D.Va. federal court building, which is vaugely plausible, and would have indicated that someone on the show did actual research. I came very near to a true spit-take when later in the episode they cut to some stock footage of a blocky cement prison (complete with razor wire), which we are to believe is in the middle of Alexandria. Is this supposed to be in historic old town, or in the Fairfax portion of Alexandria, which is the wealthiest county in the US? *smacks forehead*
SGA hasn't really excited me the way SG-1 did, largely I think because there's not as much H/C content. But last week's episode, specifically David Hewlett's performance, was fabulous. I hadn't seen the deep friendship other fans seem to see between Sheppard and McKay, but during the negotiations, every time the camera caught Hewlett, he had his cry face on. It was wonderful.
KHannah sent me the promo shots for the new season of Supernatural. Jared definitely got the better of the deal though, alas, my last wispy hope that they would Cut His Hair has been crushed. Many of Jensen's clothes seemed unsuitable: the big baggy rapper pants? Dean wouldn't be caught dead in them. A long coat would be nice, but a duster seems a lot more suitable than the buckled number from the shoot (think of the number of weapons you could conceal in a duster; that's why it's the favored coat of Immortals). The buckled leather vest is just silly. But I do like the army jacket.
