Okay first I've going to post my thoughts in my words on this. And then I'm going to quote people who have said it better than I can. ;)
My Thoughts in My Words:
Pretty good episode. Mohinder was kickass and said exactly what I wanted him to at pretty much every moment.
-Sylar/Maya? I liked it a little more than I thought I would. Mostly because they were making out over her brother's corpse. Kinky! And Sylar was really hot in this episode. :D
- Monica was kind of an idiot. I know some of you really like her, but I'm sorry, why would you take an 11 year old kid with you for something like that? If I was Niki I would be so pissed.
-Speaking of Niki, yeah, I am kind of seeing the Niki/Mohinder. I'm not loving it, but I think it could be interesting if the show took it there.
Yeah, that's all I have to say for now, sorry. This post has been open for over 24 hours and I really need to post it. :P
My Thoughts in Other's Words:
Let me know if you want me to take your quote down,
rogueslayer452. You're just so much more coherent about these things than I am. ;)
He does to me, seem to be becoming slightly more fond of her (this is possibly because, well, hot sex?), but not in the way where he's fond of Mohinder, which is still, let's be honest, totally skanky and gross. (I mean, he still kind of thinks of Mohinder as his own personal pet, but you know, in Sylar's head no one is Sylar's equal, blah blah. Maya, since she is useful as far as having her power taken once Sylar gets his back, is not to that "omg sexy pet" status really, because if he acknowledges her as a sentient being rather than a toy, he won't want to kill her, as he has shown he didn't intend to kill Mohinder, even after the events in "Parasite." AUGH WORS ARE HARD.) I mean, I think the reason I'm not horribly offended by Sylar/Maya is that I read it very much as kind of a retread of the Sylar/Mohinder roadtrip sometimes, at least in the sense that Sylar has someone he cannot kill, and is forced to spend time with that person, blah blah.
...
A lot of people are continuing to say "Maya's stupid!" and I'm really not sure she is. She's very naive in certain ways, but I don't think she's stupid. This guy knows all these awful things about her and still seems to like her and want her around! She seemed very willing to believe that Alejandro secretly hated her, and I mean, Sylar knows from playing with someone's guilt issues, of taking a lonely person and making that person feel important and loved. ('Cause, you know, Mohinder not checking ID for Zane Taylor in S1 was also kind of "stupid" but it's also that Mohinder was freaking lonely and wanted validation of his goals. Sylar is good at playing people's weaknesses like that.)
...
I am not even going to talk about the Peter and Adam and Victoria Pratt show. I am rolling my eyes so hard. I really wish, really really wish, we could have exciting plots without someone holding the idiot ball. And I can fanwank it, I guess? The same way I can fanwank Mohinder "being dumb" not really being Mohinder being dumb, and the way I can fanwank Maya not really being dumb, but Peter knows to not trust people all the time. You can love everyone and not trust them. I just. *sigh* Peter.
...
Mohinder being all :O at Bob was awesome. Like, I just. Mohinder is really thinking he can make this all work, and he's maybe a little overconfident in his abilities, and we're still, actually, not sure. I mean. Bob is evil, he wants to work on a cure, but again, we've established some people (Ted, Maya) actually want their powers to go away, so it's not like it's necessarily a negative goal, although the Company does have wacky methods.
Whether or not Bob is behind Adam using Peter to reach his goal is up for questioning, though. I mean, Bob might just be the same way HRG kinda was in S1: Kind of a bad guy, and certainly morally grey, and willing to break a few eggs to get an omelet, but ultimately not anyone's Big Bad.

I didn't see the "finger of doom" until afterwards in an elljay entry but it was great ^_^

Pointed out by other people but worth repeating here:
- a) Hiro, time travel to a WEEK EARLIER and destroy the virus before Adam's there rather than doing so the day he gets there.
- b) Alejandro, when you discover that the man you've been traveling with is a stone-cold killer, please don't attack him on your own.
- c) Peter, if you can read minds, how about reading Adam's?
- d) Has it been established how Molly got the virus in Season One? How does the Shanti virus get spread? #138 is airborne but whatever Niki injected herself with isn't? I'm confuzzled.
...
OK, enough of dancing around the Matthinderness. WHERE IS MATT? Is he up in Maine tracking down dead!Victoria? Who has been taking care of Molly with all of her dads out saving the world? She's a child, not a kitten! You boys better stick close to her from now on because you are both being deadbeats.

Mohinder/Noah. *whimpers* I can has “I just came back to life, let’s celebrate” sex nao plz? I was BITING MY FIST THE WHOLE TIME THEY WERE ON-SCREEN TOGETHER. I SHIT YOU NOT. The Mohinder/Noah has been so wonderful this season. And their differences in ideology just make it a more interesting dynamic, with lots o’ nummy angst potential.
...
Mohinder/Sylar, daaaaamn. They just never stop being fucked up. Oddly, I really like the idea of Mohinder/Sylar/Maya. And Maya/Mohinder, of course, but I’ve been pre-’shipping them basically since the second Maya met Sylar.

I bet Mohinder has some sort of HRG blow-up doll that he dressed in the STOLEN CLOTHING and he has a shrine to HRG in his bedroom and he goes there every day and bows to him because Mohinder only WISHES his morals were just THAT GRAY but he sort of fails in that arena. There's a huge difference between being morally gray and just being confused.
...
Mohinder thinks he's morally gray but it's more of the gray that happens if you wash your white underwear in with a load of dark clothes.

Claire: *WHIPS OUT WINDCHIME* I KNOW! Let's call 1-800-DIAL-A-HAITIAN!
West: ... I'll be over here, with your brother who seems to be surgically attached to your dog...yeaaaaah..
The Haitian: Sorry but it's 1-900-DIAL-A-HAITIAN, just $.99 for the first minute, and $2.99 for any additional minutes!

OH HEROES AND YOUR EXAMPLES OF JOURNALISM WTF. I didn't think it was in the best form for newspapers to publish crime scene photos of the dead people all up in their newspapers!? I mean what if Grandma Gray saw it and had a heart attack and died and it's ALL THE FAULT OF THE JOURNALISTS.

It's certainly nice to see Sylar being himself (i.e., a thundering loony) again.
...
The icing on the creepy cake was the hug where Sylar was petting Maya's lovely brain and dreaming of the day when it will be his. ::shudders::

I know that the story of the Bennets is pretty much the story of Claire and Noah, but Lyle has been reduced to the level of scenery. I think he had more lines in one episode last season than he's had in this entire season combined. Granted, the actor who plays Lyle has never impressed me overmuch, but there are scenes like the dumping of Noah's supposed ashes into the ocean where Lyle's complete lack of dialogue is really jarring. He was so far in the background of his own father's memorial that he wasn't even in focus.

Mohinder Suresh: I knew that he was going to get redeemed after his actions from the last episode, even though I loved him then as I always have which I've already explained why so I don't feel like I have to repeat myself. In any event, I loved Mohinder in this episode. While less screentime than the previous, he managed to make me adore him even more. From the beginning to resurrecting Bennet, laying the smackdown onto him AND onto Bob when confronting about the different variations of the virus within the Company's facilities. See people? Mohinder's proven himself to be a mastermind; he didn't stray away from Bennet's warnings about the virus, but actually took actions to research and look through concealed files on the different versions of the virus, including the one that could infect anyone instantly. He's taking control now, doing whatever necessary to create a vaccine for the virus. I love bitchy!Mohinder, it looks good on him.
...
Noah Bennet: It's interesting how the tables have turned. Noah Bennet is now the lab rat, the experiment which Mohinder used Claire's blood to resurrect him. Some will, once again, crucify Mohinder for that but I think it fits perfectly with their relationship. I will say this: I agree with what Mohinder had said to him, Bennet did bring this upon himself. If ONLY he'd been completely honest with Mohinder regarding the origins of the virus, honest with Claire about his plans, how he'd become so obsessed with the Series of Eight paintings, he wouldn't be in this position.
...
Peter Petrelli and Adam Monroe: Dude, seriously. When not one but two people tell you about Adam Monroe being the one who killed Kaito Nakamura and all the others, you should take notice they ARE red flags and heed those warnings.
...
All I want is M3 to be safe, that's all I'm wishing for. The bestest most adorable storyline of this season from has been the Mohinder/Molly/Matt family setup and, from tonight's episode, it seems like we're going to have one hell of a fight to keep that family together in the finale; for Matt to solve the mystery, for Mohinder to save Molly from Sylar, for Molly to be strong on both accounts.
...
Whether or not it was the Company's idea to resurrect Bennet or Mohinder's doing alone, I loved that whole beginning scene between them. It's a callback to their alliance together, a very resistance and animosity to each other because while they'd partnered up and have the same motives they aren't on friendly terms, and both of them were speaking the words fans have been talking about since the beginning. Bennet was in it for himself, Mohinder's trustworthiness in the Company, everything. It was so perfectly done, the way Mohinder spoke to Bennet, hatred and hardness in his voice. The same goes for when he's talking with Bob later on....Mohinder's in charge now, and he's staying true to his word. He hasn't chosen sides. He's not on Bennet's side, he's not with the Company's, he's all about doing the right thing everyone and will do whatever necessary to ensure that happens.
I seriously love competent, bitchy!Mohinder. The way he turned his back on Bennet in that room was cold and sadistic, and I loved it. Complete turn-around from their roles from last season, as I mentioned before. They are the mirror images of each other now. Someone mentioned in the TWoP forums that this is vicious!Mohinder from way back in "Parasite", and I have to agree. And I love it.
