1. Comment to this post with "I surrender!" and I'll assign you the basis of some tv show idea. (Science fiction show, medical drama, criminal procedure, etc...)
2. Create a cast of characters, including the actors who'd play them
3. Add in any actor photos, character bios and show synopsis that you want.
4. Post to your own journal.
citymusings Gave me: an FBI agent gets relocated to a small town police force and has to solve crimes without her usual high-tech equipment.

I'm not entirely convinced on the title though... I had a minor brain block!

"You're being relocated."

"But-"

"Don't say anything, it's not going to change."

"Texas? You're sending me to Texas? What did I do?"

"You're one of our best agents, take it as a compliment."

"How?! But, seriously... Texas?"

"Welcome to Villa del Sol. Population, 132."

"And that is still considered a town?"

"Hey! I resent that. And anyway, Guerra is still considered a town. They have a population of 8."

Back to Basics

Most people think that crime only happens in big cities like New York or Las Vegas. They're wrong. Even small towns get their fair share of criminal activity and right now? Villa del Sol seems to be getting Austin's share too.

When the crime rate rises, favors are called in and the FBI sends one of their agents, the prestigious Eleni Georgiadis, in to help the towns three man police department.

Cast

Melina Kanakeredes as Eleni Georgiadis

Special Agent Eleni Georgiadis has been with the FBI for sixteen of her thirty four years and rose through the agency to the top like a .45 caliber bullet. Beginning with the FBI office in Athens in her homeland, before moving to the Albany office until finally settling at the New York office. She speaks fluent Greek - her native language - as well as fluent English and proficient Spanish.

She is most known for bringing Eduardo Ravelo - one of the FBI's Most Wanted - to justice after only three months on the job but is also heralded for other more minor things, including doing the highest amount of sit ups in a minute in her physical fitness test on entry to the Bureau, beating the record held by a man with an amazing 184.

She's well liked by most of the Bureau for her warm personality and helpful attitude and had close relationships with her old team. At first, she resents her new team but soon grows to like them.

Michael Weatherly as Shane Rodriguez

Sheriff Shane Rodriguez has lived in Villa del Sol for his whole life, and when he left the local school at sixteen he followed in his father's footsteps as an officer of the local police force. It had always been a quiet job; small towns like del Sol didn't get much crime. He speaks fluent English and Spanish, due to his Spanish father and American mother.

Soon he gained the title of Deputy Sheriff and has recently risen to Sheriff. Well liked by the community, Shane is a bit of a ladies man and flirts with Eleni when she joins his police department but soon discovers she's not an easy target.

Carmine Giovinazzo as Giovanni "Casanova" Bonaventura

Deputy Sheriff Giovanni Bonaventura was born in Italy but his family moved to the States when he was thirteen. Fluent in Italian and English, Giovanni was nicknamed 'Casanova' when Eleni first met him, due to his teasing about her being the only woman in the Villa del Sol police force.

Due to most people not being able to pronounce his surname - which frustrates him to no end - Giovanni was normally referred to as Gio or Bono, until Eleni arrived and annoyed him again with a new nickname. Gio never much liked living in a small town, but after his best friend Michael joined the police force he ignored his mother pressing him to join the Texas FBI office as a linguist.

He is quite a narrow minded person, and didn't like the idea that Eleni - a woman - had a better job than him, but eventually concedes to the fact that it isn't going to change. He has a brief fling with Eleni but realizes that her heart is more to her job than their relationship and regretfully ends it.

Thomas Gibson as Harry Brice

Officer Harry Brice had worked in del Sol's police force for longer than Shane or Giovanni and has been offered position of Deputy Sheriff three times and of Sheriff twice. He's declined every offer and still no one knows why. He's a local guy, born and bred in Villa del Sol. Shane still remembers going with his father to work on one of their sporadic "bring your kid to work" days and getting to sit with "the new guy" Brice and do coloring - when he was younger - or otherwise his homework that his teachers had threatened detention over.

Despite his slightly intimidating look, Harry is basically a softie, whether he likes to admit it or not. After being held a hostage for the second time in three months, Eleni convinces him to carry a gun, although he would rather not.

Recurring Characters

David Caruso as Zachariah Gislin

Special Agent Zachariah Gislin is Eleni's boss. He's not too happy with the orders from above that his best agent is being relocated to a small town in Texas, but he doesn't give her the choice of not going either. Gislin's been working with the FBI for many years, and has been mostly involved with counter terrorism and organized crimes.

Coté de Pablo as Evita Marisol Rodriguez

Evita is Shane's younger half-sister. They share the same father, although a different mother. Evita's mother is also Spanish, and Evita was at first resented by Shane because she was the product of an affair, but when her mother died from a shooting when Evita was three Shane conceded that they were brother and sister, and they eventually grew very close. When Evita got to her teens, Shane became quite protective over her and so she found it difficult to date as most guys were too intimidated by her police force brother.

She dated Giovanni for a few months, but they split up for no apparent reason. When Evita's best friend, Clara, died in childbirth Evita took in the baby which she eventually adopted, since her own brother had just jailed the father over credit card fraud. Gio helped her raise the baby.

Penelope Louise as María José Rodriguez

María is Evita's adopted daughter. When she found out two years ago that she was adopted she ran away from home but the del Sol police department soon located her and brought her home again. María often helps out her mom's brother and her 'father', Giovanni, when cases have anything to do with computers.

When Eleni first came to Villa del Sol, María took a big interest in Eleni's experience as a forensic scientist in the FBI, and tried to get Shane to get a forensics department for the del Sol police force, until she discovered quite how expensive it would be, to her annoyance. After being shot in the right shoulder by a suspect while helping on a case, Shane banned her from working any of their cases.

Amanda Righetti as Hannah Gislin

Hannah is Zachariah Gislin's daughter and works as a Computer Analyst in the FBI. She was a good friend of Eleni, and helps out Eleni and the team on a case involving internet fraud.

AJ Cook as Magalie Brynn

Magalie is Shane's ex-girlfriend who is often Eleni's confidante, being one of the first women of a similar age to Eleni that she met when she arrived. When Eleni is the subject of an arson attack, Magalie lets Eleni live with her until she can find somewhere else to live.

Sasha Alexander as Caterina 'Kate' Bonaventura

Kate is Giovanni's younger sister by one year. She left Villa del Sol to see 'the rest of the world' when she was 16. She went to university in Rome and studied mathematics before taking a job with the Marina Militare - the Italian Navy - and modeling as a side job. She then moved to England to work with MI5 before returning to work with Austin's police department as a consultant. She occasionally helps her brother and the team on their cases.

Rudolf Martin as Alexander Brice

Alex is Harry's younger step-brother. He gets involved with a drug deal and goes to his step-brother for help. He dates Kate for a while, but breaks up with her because he thinks he is too old for her, even though the age difference is only eight years.
