Life is exciting
After the storm the other day, there was an earthquake in Hamner. I'm not sure exactly how far it is from Christchurch, but i've been told it's about 1½ drive. Some people felt it here. I wasn't one of those luck people. It happened at 8:15 ish, so I figure i was on the bus then.
I would have love to have felt it. An earthquake so close. It was 5.6 or 5.9 or something. The exact details can be read here:
